My treatment approach is goal-oriented, and is rooted in research-based techniques that have proven most effective in decreasing anxiety.
Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD
I have specialized training in providing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat OCD in children, adolescents, and adults. If you or your child are struggling with OCD, ERP can help you live a more value-driven life free from OCD.
CBT for Anxiety
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) works on changing negative thinking styles and behaviors to help you achieve your goals. People often avoid activities that make them anxious, and I will work with you to steadily increase your engagement in activities that bring you meaning and joy. We will also develop coping skills to manage distressing emotions. Research shows that CBT can lead to significant decreases in anxiety and improvements in functioning.
Parent Support
As a parent, you play a crucial role in your child's development and well-being. I help parents learn new ways of interacting with their children to strengthen their relationship and improve their child’s functioning and emotion regulation. I provide Parent Management Training to parents of children with disruptive and behavioral disorders, and will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to effectively support your child's emotional and behavioral needs.
